HOW IT WORKS
Financial Management
At Milestone Financial Planning, we believe everyone deserves clear, trustworthy financial advice and service. We proudly operate under the fiduciary standard. This means that, by law, we are required to act in your best interest at all times—no exceptions. Our advice, recommendations, and services are tailored solely around what’s best for you, not what earns us a commission or benefits a third party.
For information about our fee structure please refer to the sections below and our ADV.
Clients With Less Than $2,000,000
For clients starting with less than $2 million in assets under our management, we may offer financial planning and investment management as separate services. This flexible structure allows us to provide the right level of support based on your needs and ensures we’re able to serve clients with more complex situations even if their investable assets are below $2 million.
Our investment management fee is an annual 1% of assets under management on the first $1,000,000 and 0.80% on the next $1,000,000, charged quarterly after services have been provided based on your average daily balance.
Our financial planning services may be provided as an annual financial planning subscription fee, billed monthly based on the size of the client portfolio and the complexity of the services to be provided.
Clients With Greater Than $2,000,000
New clients with $2,000,000 or more in assets under our management are offered our Financial Management Service, which includes both ongoing financial planning and investment management services. Our standard financial management fee is charged quarterly after services have been provided as a percentage of assets under management based on your average daily balance.
The fee is calculated based on the average daily balance in the Client’s account[s] and is based on the schedule below:
Assets Under Management ($) | Annual Fee (%) |
---|---|
First $1 million | 1.00% |
Next $2 million ($1-3M) | 0.80% |
Next $3 million ($3-6M) | 0.60% |
Next $4 million ($6-10M) | 0.40% |
Next $5 million ($10-15M) | 0.35% |
Everything else ($15M +) | 0.30% |
The way a financial advisor gets paid can directly impact the guidance you receive. Here’s how a fee-only financial planner differs from the traditional model.
