Jonathan Harrington is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional specializing in tax, retirement, and financial planning, with a focus on strategies to minimize lifetime tax liabilities. Based in Stratham, New Hampshire, Jon serves clients nationwide from offices in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, offering both in-person and virtual consultations to individuals and families along the NH seacoast, southern Maine, and across the United States.

Jon has provided financial planning and tax advice since 2004. He began his career as a wealth planning advisor at a regional private bank for four years before transitioning to the public sector, where he spent seven years counseling families in New York and Massachusetts. Jon joined Milestone Financial Planning in 2016 and became an owner in 2021.

Jon holds a Master of Science in financial planning and a Master of Science in taxation, both with distinction, from Bentley University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in economics and finance, cum laude, from the same institution. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and the Fee-Only Network. Jon also leads the Massachusetts Chapter Military Pro-Bono Initiative.

As a fee-only advisor, Jon does not accept commissions, referral fees, or any compensation tied to financial product sales. He prioritizes clients’ interests, transparently managing any unavoidable conflicts to ensure fairness. His services include comprehensive financial planning, retirement income planning, investment management, tax planning, estate planning, insurance consulting, and college planning. Jon works with a range of clients, including retirees, near-retirees, frugal professionals, high-net-worth individuals, medical professionals, and families with children.

A civil affairs officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, Jon has deployed to Djibouti and Poland in support of U.S. operations. He resides on the New Hampshire seacoast with his wife and three young children, where he enjoys family time.
